Okay, here we go again! Yesterday we had another new episode, one continuing Miraculous Ladybug's long tradition of awkward English ep names. For a paragraph or so of waffle, with spoilers, head beyond the page break.
Well now. Well now. Apparently Gabriel Agreste gets invited to a Royal Wedding for being... something. Possibly the Queen really is a giant lizard after all. He (as Hawk Moth) provided the most entertaining parts of this episode, manically cackling in a sort-of-Eurostar toilet. As you do. Meanwhile, Marinette's Powers of Klutziness returned in full force as she mixed up several letters. An extremely predictable part of the plot, since it was yet another way for the show to put off the moment of Adrien's scales falling from his eyes (this is not a lizard reference), but it did its job. I do worry about London pharmacies that just dish out prescriptions to anyone who wanders in from France, though.
Meanwhile, we saw a mysterious woman talking to Mr Ramier (the pigeon guy) and it turned out she was Master Fu's old flame. He was ill at the start of the story, but that cleared up when the plot demanded. More seriously, Hawk Moth now has another lead on our favourite Guardian's location. Ladybug and Cat Noir went about their superheroic business in slightly convoluted fashion against the akumatised villain, but it worked out in the end. I wonder whether the reversed speech is entertaining, as in Red Dwarf all those years ago? A more interesting episode than last time, and with potentially far-reaching implications.
